2021 Halliday Review awards 95pts to our 2018 Shiraz

As always at this time of the year winemakers around the country are waiting to see what James Halliday and team think of our latest wines. For Semprevino this only meant one wine this time around that we were waiting on a review for. Our 2018 Shiraz, already the winner of a gold medal at the McLaren Vale Wine show did not disappoint, being awarded 95pts.

Reviewer Jane Faulkner said the following:

Radiates regional charm with telltale dark fruits infused with black olive, dark chocolate and bay leaves. Works off a medium-bodied frame with cocoa-powder tannins and a savoury finish. Still glowing with youth, yet will age with certainty.

Halliday his also flagged this wine as outstanding value at just $35 a bottle.

top ranked Grenache review from The Real Review

Russell continues to impress with his rosé production. Nick Butler from The Real Review says of the 2019 Grenache Rosé:

Extremely pale colour, more orange than pink. A herbal, savoury first swirl, rhubarb and dried roses, white strawberries. It's an arid, serious style teetering on just ripe. Delicate and confident. For lovers of crisp and clean wines

Our wine was also awarded 93 points and was the top ranked wine of the tasting group of Grenache wines.
